The dinar was the currency of the 3 Yugoslav states:

The Kingdom of Yugoslavia (formerly the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats adn Slovenes), the Socialist Fedreal Republic of Yugoslavia, and the Federal Repurblic of Yugoslavia between 1918 and 2006. 

In the 1990s, economic mismanagement made the government bakrupt and forced it to take money from the savings of the coutnry's citizens. This caused severe and prolonged hyperinflation, the worst in history. This hyperinflation caused five revaluations between 1990 and 1994.
