THE CHOKER NECKLACE IN THE PICTURE IS NOT INCLUDED
This is a large intricately detailed textured medallion shaped pendant. It has a design of nine (9) spokes that gives it a wheel appearance. It reminds me of a gothic or medieval design, almost like a shield. The bale that is attached to the pendant is marked 925 for silver, but the pendant is not marked. The bale is not removable. I don’t know what type of metal it is and it has not been tested for silver content, but I would guess it is silver because of the bale. It weighs .60 ounces, which converts to 17 grams. The diameter of the pendant is approximately 2 inches across. The pendant is shown on a choker style necklace to give you an idea of what it would look like on your own necklace. The bale is a good size so you can use it on many different types of chains or ropes. Please note that the necklace is not included with the pendant.
It could be based on the symbol for Taranis, one of the Celtic gods. Pendants that resemble a wheel have been found. It also would be great for anyone who is into Steam Punk or Boho attire.
It is in nice vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not tried to polish this piece; it has an unusual patina to it that adds to the dimensional appearance. There is a line on the side where the circle joins together; it is definitely a handmade artisan piece of jewelry. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the detail better than I can describe.
This would provide that extra accent with your little black dress or it would look great with your favorite pair of jeans. It is a versatile piece of jewelry.
