On DVD or VHS: Picture above shows BUCK'S BOY after winning the 1998 Breeders' Cup Turf

Complete televised broadcast of the entire 1998 BREEDERS' CUP - MINUS all commercials from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

The best of the bunch, with the best Classic field in history, featuring no less than six superstars including the long awaited match-up of 1997 Classic winner SKIP AWAY and 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner SILVER CHARM! And if you like nail-biting cliffhangers, this day features four of them, with two of the races decided by a nose!

1) JUVENILE COLTS - YES ITS TRUE will try to take these kids wire to wire, like his daddy, IS IT TRUE did to upset EASY GOER when they ran in the 1988 Juvenile! But to repeat his daddy's stunner, he must beat ANSWER LIVELY, ALY'S ALLEY, eventual 1999 Classic winner CAT THIEF, eventual 2000 superstar LEMON DROP KID and THE GROOM IS RED - a tall order indeed!

2) JUVENILE FILLIES - BILL MOTT dominates this one as his two young superstars, SILVERBULLETDAY and EXCELLENT MEETING, leave their foes breathless. Those foes, fine gals in their own right, include THREE RING and CONFESSIONAL.

3) SPRINT - Watch this nice field duke it out, headed by RERAISE, GRAND SLAM, KONA GOLD, RICHTER SCALE, WILD RUSH and AFFIRMED SUCCESS. Riding RERAISE, COREY NAKATANI will be attempting to win his third straight Breeders' Cup Sprint!

4) MILE - FAVORITE TRICK, now a turf horse after winning 1997 Horse-of-the-Year honors running on dirt, hopes to recapture his old magic, but must face a tough field, including 1996 Mile winner DA HOSS, HAWKSLEY HILL, LABEEB, European mile specialist DESERT PRINCE and early season sensation JOYEAX DANSEUR. What a battle - DA HOSS and HAWKSLEY HILL hit the line together! Who won?

5) DISTAFF - Four gals tower above the field: ESCENA, BANSHEE BREEZE, KEEPER HILL and TOMISUE'S DELIGHT. ESCENA is trying to wire the field, but here comes BANSHEE BREEZE - did she get up in time?

6) TURF - Can BUCK'S BOY accomplish the unthinkable - an Illinois-bred winning a Breeders' Cup race? Defending Turf champion CHIEF BEARHART is here to stop him, as is YAGLI, DUSHYANTOR, CETEWAYO, BONAPARTISTE and ROYAL ANTHEM.

7) CLASSIC - Can SKIP AWAY accomplish what the great CIGAR failed to do - become the first horse in history to win back-to-back Breeders' Cup Classics? To make it, he must beat five other superstars - the mighty SILVER CHARM, who in 1997 came so close to winning the triple crown, along with European champ SWAIN, AWESOME AGAIN, who is undefeated in 1998, speedball CORONADO'S QUEST, 1997 winner TOUCH GOLD and hard-knocking veteran West Coast star GENTLEMAN!

Highlights include COREY NAKATANI winning his third straight Breeders' Cup Sprint, two riding wins for GARY STEVENS, BILL MOTT training two winners, and reports on legendary basketball coach RICK PITINO, now horse owner of THE GROOM IS RED, along with segments on FAVORITE TRICK's journey from invincible legend to also-ran and a heartwarming piece on SHARP CAT's successful battle to save her life, defeating a rare disease which kills 90% of horses it inflicts.
