This is a lovely pair of vintage handcrafted earrings. Each earring is signed on the back “Austria” and has an unusual omega style clip backing. Because of the way the backs are attached, these earrings stand alone and look almost like little framed pictures. The needlepoint sampler depicts a red rose and green leaves, the detail on the embroidery stitching is amazing for the size. The background is white. The needlework is set in a gold tone metal frame, which sets off the beauty of the miniature floral petite point or petit point to perfection. Each earring is approximately ¾ of an inch in diameter.

The earrings are in nice vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is some wear of the gold finish on the back of the earrings and some slight tarnishing.

These earrings would make a great addition to your collection of vintage jewelry and a great gift for anyone who loves doing needlepoint or gardening. For all your men out there, give these with a dozen roses to your girlfriend or wife and she will love them. They will remind her of the roses every time she wears them.
