For sale is an Elizabeth O'Neill Verner "Rest While You Wait" Print Signed & Framed by the The Tradd Street Press at the Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Studio that was at 38 Tradd Street in Charleston.
The print in view measures 7.5" x 9.5". The entire framed piece measures 12.5" x 16.5". Gorgeous piece of art!

"If you are buying a Verner etching, watch for one thing. Some of them are signed in pencil by Verner but have the word "repro" under the name. I have seen many of these and, in general, I have known that they are not considered originals, but I called Verner's grandson to get the details. He told me that in the 1940?s her prints were so popular that she started producing reproductions, signed by her, but noted as reproductions. This means the prints were not pulled off the original plate. The signatures are authentic. He also told me that some unsigned works are in the marketplace, but they are also reproductions. Although she eventually remarried, I have never seen any signature other than "Elizabeth O'Neill Verner." "
