When you buy from a small mom and pop business, you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mom or dad put food on the table, a family pay a mortgage or a student pay for college. Our customers are our shareholders and they are the ones we strive to make happy. Thank-you for supporting your local Small Businesses!   Unknown

I'm starting to thin-out my camera collection because I just don't have enough room to display everything I have. It's always a hard decision to let one go, but go it must. Here we have a Minolta Autopak 500 Auto Focus 35mm Point & Shoot camera with its 38mm f/2.8 Rokkor lens. It's in great condition with signs of light, VERY light, careful use. Definitely a good candidate for your collection. This camera worked well the last time I used it, admittedly many years ago. But I did (just now) run the camera through its functions and everything seems to work perfectly. I found the following at camerapedia:

Compared to other cameras for Kodapak film the Minolta Autopak 500 has a quite fast lens. It has a focusing knob at the side, a Magicube flash cube turntable connector, and as most significant specialty a squared Lens tube with squared selenium meter window around the lens opening. The selenium cell controls the aperture or fires the flash if needed. In flash mode the aperture is coupled to the focusing knob. The flash cube will be rotated after each flash exposure.

The Autopak 500 was the first or one of the first cameras with automatic flash firing in darkness and dim light.

If you enjoy collecting these old P&S cameras (as I do), you should consider this item. It would be a nice addition to your collection and you can do it without breaking the bank. I'm asking $28. I know that is a premium price but this is a premium example, as are most of my other collectible cameras.
