This Theodore Haviland decorative fish plate is in excellent condition.  The color is green with with a fish in the water with the shoreline in the background and gold trim to look like kelp or other sea plant on the left side of the plate.  The mark used is from 1893; however, it is red and above the glaze which suggests a later date.  Also incised into the back of the plate are the initials TH.  The plate is the shape shown in the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain 3rd Edition by Mary Frank Gaston as picture plate #475.  The plate is 8 1/8" in diameter.
