This is a wonderfulyl hand crafted Fish Brooch or Pin. I’m not sure of the material, it is not marked Sterling, but I believe it was from Mexico. It also reminds me of the hammered aluminum plates I have seen. I’m not a jeweler, a magnet does not stick to the fish, but it does to the pin on the back. There is a round black stone in the middle, the color of Onyx. There are no markings anywhere but it is beautifully detailed and would make a great conversation starter on any outfit.

I would also think it would look great pinned to a purse or handbag. It would dress up a plain black evening bag and make it quite unique. The pin is in excellent vintage condition with just a tiny bit of tarnish on one of the pieces that hang down from the fish (see picture) and a tiny spot above the eye. I have not polished this as many people prefer the older patina that comes with age. It measures 3 1/4” across and 3 1/2” from top to bottom. The clasp on the pin works just fine.
