This is a lovely vintage Monet modern design omega or snake chain choker necklace with a geometric black enamel focal piece that is attached at the center. The silver tone band is a flexible metal that is bowed or curved in shape and lies flat. The chain is nice and thick and is flat on the bottom and rounded on the top. It is signed on the fold over clasp ©Monet. The black center piece is approximately 2 inches long and ¾ inches wide. The total necklace length is approximately 17-18 inches long and ½ inch wide. The necklace stretches and is slightly expandable. This necklace is most likely from the 1970s to 1980s, but I don't remember when I purchased it.
It is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is no wear that I can see, I rarely wore this necklace and it has been stored in the drawer for years. It has a fold over latch closure that works perfectly and is nice and secure.
This necklace would make a lovely addition to your collection of Monet jewelry, perfect with any outfit. It has a lovely shine to is and is a great attention getter. It is a substantial and well made piece of designer jewelry that would look great with that little black dress. .
