Found on Estate sale: Rare Lladro Angel figurine.

1. this figurine was  designed by sculptor Fulgencio Garcia and produced by Lladro in 1969-70 . The logo on the bottom is The second Lladro logo design that was impressed into the porcelain. This trademark was used only from approximately 1965 to 1970.

2. angel's white gown is adorned by tiny mint-colored raised dots, all around neckline, cuffs and hem-line. Figurines produced after 1970 (blue bell Lladro label) do not have that detail, it's just plain white gown.

This easily could be First Edition of model #4541. That particular design retired in 2004

This sweet little angel reclining on his tummy has a wonderful bored face expression. The piece is called "Angel Lying Down". The model number is 4541. The back stamp indicates that this piece was produced between 1969 and 1970. The figurine measures 5.5" long and about 4.5" wide.

Condition of the figurine: there is a thin hair-like crack, about 1.5 cm (1/2") along the back. Looks like previous owner tried to mask it with white material (caulk?). It is not really visible unless you look from above and it doesn't diminish this beautiful figurine.

If you are a collector of the Lladro figurines, this piece will be great addition to your collection. This is a TRUE VINTAGE piece.
