Bambusa bambos
A very large, densely clustering, somewhat thorny bamboo with pale culms to 30 m (100 ft.) tall and 15 cm (6 in.) in diameter. The leaves can reach a length of 18 cm (7 in.). It is widely distributed throughout the tropics and best suited to cultivation in a tropical climate. In India, leaf extracts of this bamboo are popular in the treatment of inflammatory conditions.
