This is a 1976 Goebel mothers plate featuring a matte surface and a gray mother Persian cat with her black kitten. The mark shows that the origin was W Germany, which is appropriate for the 1976 date.
SIZE: This plate is a little over 7 1/2" in diameter.
BACKGROUND: I recently bought a number of things from the estate of a neighbor who had several thousand figurines, many figural boxes and paperweights, and huge glass and china collections from many different makers. I'll be listing more things from this purchase over the next several weeks.
