Description

This is a very interesting vase from the Acoma Pueblo in New Mexico, which is very well known for its pottery.  The signature on the bottom is N Chino, who is a member of the family of Marie Chino who was the most famous of the Acoma potters of the past few decades who died a few years ago.

This vase has the "flat" shape with a slanted top that is seen occasionally.  The front side is a cut out pueblo scene, and the back is a solid (no cutouts) geometric design.  I am sure this required advanced skill to make and certainly not a typical tourist piece.  It was no doubt expensive.

SIZE:  This vase is approximately 6 1/4" wide by 6 1/4" tall with a depth of 2"
.

I ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE A RULER TO SEE WHAT SIZE THE ITEM IS.

BACKGROUND:  This vase was purchased by my husband's aunt during her travels with her husband through the Southwest U.S., Mexico, and Central America after they retired in the 1970s and 1980s.  They weren't able to travel due to his health after this time, so I'm fairly sure of the dating.  We just cleaned out her condo following her move to assisted living and will be listing more things from her in the coming weeks.

Shipping

I normally ship within one business day and upload tracking information to your Mypage.  All packages are insured without charge to you.

DOMESTIC PACKAGES   I use the least expensive shipper so I can afford to offer FREE SHIPPING for almost all items.

In general, packages up to 16 ounces are sent via USPS first class mail.  Heavier packages are sometimes sent via FEDEX SmartPost (depending on weight and destination).

INTERNATIONAL PACKAGES  I charge shipping on all international packages and complete customs documents honestly showing the sale price as the value.  Please do not ask me to reduce the value or show the item as a gift.  Import duties, taxes, and charges are NOT included in the item or shipping cost.  These charges are the buyer's responsibility.  Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Terms of Sale

As required by law, I must collect sales tax from customers with mailing addresses in Arizona and other states whose legislatures have mandidated this.  THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT MY PERSONAL IDEA AND I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER HOW IT IS DONE.  I WILL WORK WITH YOU AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS PROCESS.
