Lolla Rosa Open Pollinated Leaf Lettuce is an Italian Leaf Lettuce especially good for garnishing. Lolla Rosa has heavily frilled dark green leaves tipped with red. Lolla Rosa has a mild flavor and will form a loose head if planted 10" apart. This early variety of heirloom leaf lettuce is sweet, crisp and tender. Looseleaf lettuce resprouts from a cut stem without losing quality in flavor or texture. The heavily notched, wavey leaves are deepp red in color. Harvest Lolla Rosa Red Lettuce at any stage of growth. Fully mature at 45 days. Seeds can be sown directly into garden when soil is warm or started in containers and transplanted.
