TYUYAMUNITE (uranium)
 MINERAL ROCK

$45.00 plus shipping       15.8 oz weight
442 grams

The rock was found, on the ground surface,
at Poison Canyon, near Grants NM.  It
was prospected during March 2019.
Its activity level is in the faster range,
relative to other similar natural rocks and
above that of FiestaWare red plates.
Its 73k response rate is approximately
2.4 times that measured from FiestaWare
ceramic dinner plates crafted during the
FiestaWare uranium era, 1936-1943.
The white dots, seen in photos, identify
the surface area with fastest activity.
Yellow splotches on its many surfaces
are U3O8, uranium oxide.

Weight of rock:  6.2 oz

WHAT TYPE OF MINERAL
IS THE ROCK?
It is likely tyuyamunite uranium. Advice
from geologists who can identify this ore
more precisely will be appreciated. Poison
Canyon is approximately 20 miles NW
from Grants NM.  It is part of the "New
Mexico Uranium Belt;"  65% of all uranium
ore ever produced in the USA came from
mines located within 60 miles of this site.
This handsome rock was made in USA!

BONUS 40-MINUTE DVD VIDEO,
NOT FOUND ON YOUTUBE!
Enclosed with the uranium rock will be my
original DVD video disk, Jurassic Canyon Uranium,
dated March 2017 and July 2019.  This 40-
minute video provides a narrated video tour
of the NM locale where many rocks can be
found through prospecting. This exclusive DVD
video program is enclosed at no extra cost.
(This video is NOT to be uploaded to YouTube.)

The location name, Poison Canyon, is misleading. The
location name has nothing to do with uranium or
radioactivity. The canyon has several minerals (e.g.,
selenium) that are toxic if consumed by livestock
such as cattle.

ALL GOVERNMENTAL AND POSTAL
REGULATIONS ARE FOLLOWED
These regulations allow rock collectors to
own and to mail natural uranium rocks. The
federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
owns uranium fields and allows hobbyist "rock
hounds" to gather rocks at those fields. The
rocks must be properly labeled, and must be
double-boxed when mailed.  The federal Nuclear
Regulatory Agency (NRC) does not allow manufacturing
of anything from the rocks without an advance NRC
license. The rock parcels can be mailed to addresses
within the USA but are NOT allowed to be
exported to any foreign country.

Combo special!  Six. lb. assortment of natural uranium
rocks $30.00 + s/h is now available here at  bonanza.com

NAME OF THIS
URANIUM CANYON
The previous location name, Poison Canyon, was misleading.
The older location name had nothing to do with either uranium
or radioactivity. This canyon has several non-radioactive
minerals (e.g., selenium, arsenic) that are toxic if eaten by
livestock such as cattle or sheep. The new name, Jurassic
Canyon, is geologically and historically correct, because
the massive amount of uranium ore was released to the
surface here from eruptions by the Mt. Taylor active volcano
during the Jurassic Era, when dinosaurs were common. In
June 2021, I found TWO fossilized juvenile velociraptor
skulls, both highly radioactive. If I find a third radioactive
dinosaur fossil, I will invite paleontologists (dinosaur
scientists) from Univ. of Chicago or from Yale Univ.
to join me here at the canyon, to prospect for more.

ALL FEDERAL REGULATIONS
ABOUT URANIUM ROCKS
ARE CORRECTLY OBEYED
(1) Bureau of Land Management (BLM):
Collection of rocks is okay for rock
hounds; ATM vehicles are not allowed;
daily limits on weight of rocks allowed.
(2) Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC):
No manufacturing from rocks allowed
without NRC advance license; correct
labeling; medical health safety statement.
(3) U.S. Post Office (USPS): Double-
box packaging of rocks; shielding of
rocks; ground transport; no exports
allowed to any other countries.
