The aerial part of the plant Hypericum perforatum L., fam. Hypericaceae, contains hypericin, flavonozides, epicatechol, proanthocyanidols, phenol-carboxylic acids, carotenoids, vitamin C, hyperforin and adhiperforin, xanthones, choline, resins, mineral substances.
Effect:
Antidepressant, sedative, soothing, astringent, antidiarrheal, healing, choleretic-colleague (stimulates the secretion and elimination of the bile), anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial.
Main uses:
Anxiety, depression, nervous tension, insomnia.
Other uses:
Gastro-duodenal ulcer, gastric, hepatitis, biliary dyskinesia, diarrhea, menopause disorders, inflammation and skin lesions (wounds, burns).
Contraindications:
It is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to this plant.
Method of preparation:
Over a teaspoon, pour 250 ml boiling water and leave it covered for 10-15 minutes, then strain.
Administration method:
Drink 2-3 cups of tea a day.
