Takes 4 AA batteries in the present - on, off switch (batteries not included)

In working condition BUT the sleigh is moving BACKWARDS.

Also, light and movement may be sensitive to movement, you may have to fiddle with it after shipping (small Phillips screw driver top open it up, gently move bulbs, adjust screws if needed)
