Vintage Book - Designs for Tole Painting Vol II - Instructions by: Joeather Nelson - Many Designers

This book of designs for Tole Painting has been prepared by the Recreation Division of Kansas City, Missouri to supplement the courses in Decorative Arts offered in the Community Centers in the 1970's. Most of the designers taught classes in community centers around Kansas City.

Stapled Paperback book is 8 1/2" x 11" and contains Instructions and advice about brushes, color mixing and strokes. "Design include traditional folk art of the Pennsylvania Dutch and Norwegian origins as well as Federal designs of the American Revolutionary period of history." 44 design pages of flowers, fruits, leaves, harlequins with instruments, various Revolutionary War soldiers, a federal eagle, clown faces, a lamb, a chicken, a fan, a lobster and even an additional newspaper cutout of a toy soldier.

Good condition with no "dog ears" or torn or missing pages. Smudges on the covers and a name penciled in and partially erased in the front. 2 of the small designs have been traced over.
