This vine has tubular purple flowers with a mouth like a trumpet. All Aristolochia species, except for the Aristolochia gigantea, are larval host plants for the Pipevine Swallowtail, Polydamas Swallowtail, and Mylotes Cattleheart butterflies. USDA Hardiness Zones 10 to 11.
