Rocky Ford Green Flesh melons are 2-3 lbs and 5.5Ó by 4.5-5Ó. Rinds are deeply ribbed, heavily netted. They are dark green and turn yellow as they ripen. Flesh is pale and medium green. Sow seeds in full sun in the spring though direct sow. These plants do well in humidity and grow well in the South. Seeds should be sown 1Ó below the soil surface in hills 12Ó apart. They are ready for harvest after 85-95 days. They have a unique sweet and spicy flavor.
