The collection began with the first-ever Shirley Temple Christmas doll, aptly named "Little Caroler." Sculpted by artist Elke Hutchins. She was sculpted from a rarely-seen 1937 photograph of Shirley singing a Christmas carol.  "Little Carolers" head, arms and legs are crafted of fine, bisque porcelain. Shirley Temple's hand-tailored holiday outfit consists of a full-length satin-lined red coat with black braid trim and black velvet-covered buttons. The matching bonnet and gloves are trimmed in faux-fur and she wears black boots with white fur lining. underneath her red coat, she is dressed in an emerald green taffeta dress with delicate lace and a colorful holiday sash. She is sculpted with an open mouth and holds a real miniature, green-back songbook containing  3 popular Christmas carols: "Silent Night", "Joy To The World", and "Jingle Bells".
