This item is a replacement dish for those round wooden cheese cracker plate. It sits in the middle of the wooden piece to hold like dips or dressings. OR you can use it as a candy dish. The glass sides are round ribbed and the ribbing runs under the bottom. Very scalloped looking. The bottom is like a sunflower design.
The underside of the silvertone lid has rough feel to it and some slight rusting around the screw that holds the top on it. This issue looks worse on the photos than it really is...in my opinion. Its like the silvertone is peeling.
The glass bowl measures 5 inches in diameter x 2 inches tall. The lid measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter x 1/4 inches tall at the rim area. The bottom of the glass piece measures a little over 4 1/2 inches in diameter
Because the lid is shiny the top looks like there is another piece to it. But the top looks like the old vintage coffee pot glass lid.
This piece is very MCM looking.
