Postmarked October 13, 1990, Abilene KS, site of the Eisenhower center.
This stamp commemorated the birth of Dwight D. Eisenhower, our 34th President.
Would make a wonderful gift for that someone special that is celebrating a birthday that day! We all love to know what famous people were born the same day as we were!
CONDITION: Mint condition. only removed from cardboard protective sleeve to scan.
Although the photo scan shows a dark shadow along the bottom edge, that is just a shadow caused by light getting in from the scanner, due to the thickness of the protective plastic cover of the gold stamp.
Also, we did not notice until we were done scanning all of them, but there is a small black mark along the upper edge, which originated from our scanner glass, and is not on the item. (If you look at all our scanned First day covers, they all have the same mark)
