Lidded Tureen Large Under Plate John Maddock Sons c. 1880 John Maddock and Sons Royal Vitreous pottery Under glaze back mark without 'Ltd' c. 1880-96 (Ltd was not added until after 1896) These were imported blanks decorated by the Jesse Dean Decorating Firm Trenton NJ c. 1886 (Jesse Dean Decorating firm started in 1886. They did not decorate any American wares imported only French English blanks.) The tureen and lid are crack and chip free. Minor glaze crazing. The huge under-plate platter was broken in half and has an antique repair! A porcelain expert fused it back together using a porcelain version of spot-welding. Stronger than original; people with this expertise no longer exist. Big crack, strong antique-era repair, priced accordingly! The huge platter has glaze crazing and the middle repair no other chips and cracks. Tureen 13" x 7.5" x 9" Huge under plate platter 18" x 13" Free Shipping!
