1930-1940 Star Safety Razor W Case Blades … More Pictures Be Sure to See the Pictures I've Posted on blogger for Any Flaws 1930-1940 Star Safety Razor W Case Blades, Made in USA by the American Safety Razor Company. This razor is similar to a Gillette 1940's One-Piece solid guard bar, it is in Very Good Condition. This razor is a gold-tone Star 3-Piece razor with a Nickel Plated Head in Very Nice Condition. When We First Purchased the Set the Plating on the Head Was Nearly Gone, We Stripped the Head down to the Next Layer of Plating Which Is Nickle, As You Can See in the Pictures It Is Bright and Shiny, Nickel Plated, with No Damage! The handle remains gold. Here you have a Great Vintage Safety Razor that comes with the Original Blade Bank which has some scratching (see pictures) full of NOS, unopened Star Razor Blades. Also included is the Original Price Tag, slightly ripped but nothing horrendous! To finish off the set we have included the Original Case which is blue in color with a gold filigree border, there is extremely minimal wear and reads Star on the lid in gold. There Are No Cuts or Damage to the inside Fabric or the outside Material That Covers the Case. The razor has No Surface Scratches, but it is shiny, it is approx. 3 1/4" long. Very nice razor for a collection or as a daily shaver. In the post-war era, the blades were advertised as being so sharp and smooth that you'd not know a blade was loaded. They were an early stainless steel blade, uncoated, from ASR. Duridium is a trade name for 404B Stainless. It appears ASR stopped using the word Duridium in 1953. The Silver Star blades continued to be produced until at least 1960.
