Vintage Fisher Price Fun- with- Food #2111 Simmering Saucepan Play Set COMP/EXC (S) Vintage Fisher Price Fun with Food #2111 Simmering Saucepan Complete/EXC (S) (MORE PHOTOS BELOW) " Mmmmm good, Mmmmm good...." Remember that classic soup commercial? Well here is something for your little cook to make his/her own soup. Fisher Price introduced its wildly popular Fun with Food series in 1987. Produced for a total of 4 years, the #2111 Simmering Saucepan play set features a see thru pan with water and seasonings trapped inside the walls of the pan. When shaken, the particles and liquid move about to simulate a realistic boiling action. This great little saucepan requires no batteries or heat. In my opinion, the saucepan is in NR MINT condition. Note: This is the 1989-90 version of this set. The original 1987 version did not contain the blue bowl or white spoon. Later 1989 and 1990 versions included both of these. I have configured this offering to conform with the 1989-90 Fisher Price specifications. 1 HTF Simmering Saucepan (NEAR MINT--fluid level between the clear walls may be slightly lower than when originally manufactured; at present, I'm guessing it's approximately 1/2" in depth; I'm not sure what the original depth was); Other accessories accompanying this MAGICAL set are: 1 HTF Alphabet Soup Can with litho (EXC- NEAR MINT--grayish cast to several areas of white on the soup litho; not sure if this is dirt or if it will come off during the cleaning process; I'm being "super nit-picky" here as I don't want any of my customers to be disappointed by the purchase from me); 1 RARE orange plastic lid for the Alphabet Soup Can (VG-EXC--some light scratches and a few scuffs; these are basically invisible unless you hold the lid up within 3" of your eyes and rotate it in the light; NOTE: these lids usually disappeared over time; it's rare to find a container with its original lid); 5 RARE strands of alphabet soup letters which store inside the aforementioned can; these come in all different colors and with different letter combinations (EXC-- MINT; the groupings and colors are as follows: white A,B, C--NEAR MINT--one or two teensy scratches; extremely hard to see; dark green D, E, F --MINT; orange G, H, I --EXC-EXC-- one scratch on the "H"; yellow J, K, L (EXC--couple of possible "nibbles" on the "L;" these are virtually impossible to see unless you hold the piece up within 3" of your eyes and rotate it in the light ); white X, Y, Z (MINT); 1 VHTF red-orange ladle with Fisher Price on the handle (MINT); 1 RARE red-orange pepper shaker (MINT); 1 RARE yellow salt shaker (EXC--minor edge wear on the bottom of the piece); 1 RARE blue bowl marked Fisher Price on the bottom (MINT); 1 HTF white spoon with flower embellishment on the handle and Fisher Price imprinted on the back of the handle (MINT); and 1 RARE blue, yellow, purple, red, and green striped pot holder (NEAR MINT--one pin-head size hole on one side of hot pad; doesn't not go through to other side; this is really hard to see; NOTE: the original FP tag is still present; the latter shows some minor fraying). This is a darling set and one that any preschool youngster would love to own. Fisher Price designed this set for children ages 3-7 years of age. Children under 3 years of age or still mouthing their toys should probably not be given this toy. Adult supervision is suggested if this set is given to children under 3 years of age. NOTE: This play set is not a part of the recent recall of Fisher Price toys manufactured in China. The Alphabet Can and lid, pot holder, and sauce pan were all produced in the good ole' U.S.A. The alphabet soup strands and the orange ladle were manufactured in Korea. I could not discern a country of origin for the salt and pepper shakers; however, Fisher Price didn't start outsourcing to a large degree to other countries until after Mattel purchased the company in the early 1990's. The items contained in this set were manufactured by Fisher Price, a division of Quaker Oats; thus, they were not created in China. I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning this play set and all of its accessories prior to sending it to its new owners. My play sets are IMMACULATE! This particular offering weighs 12 oz. UNWRAPPED. My location is Lafayette, IN (47905). Since the wrapped weight will exceed 13 oz, I will not be able to send this via First Class Mail. Instead, I will be sending it via the USPS Priority mail. I'm more than happy to combine multiple purchases into one shipment. All I ask is that you contact me so that I can combine all of your purchases onto one Invoice (to save me from multiple PayPal transaction fees and so that I can easily print out a shipping label through PayPal for your purchases). See my other listings for more great items! Preferred payment is via PayPal. Payment is expected within 5 business days. The price listed is for the item itself. The total amount due will be the purchase price of the item the ACTUAL shipping cost to deliver your item to you. All shipping costs or extra fees (in the case of Canadian shipments) are the responsibility of the buyer. I will do everything in my power to find you the cheapest shipping rate—-whether it’s the USPS (First Class or Priority), Fed Ex, or UPS. I DO NOT PAD MY SHIPPING COSTS—-NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL! I SHIP WITHIN 48 HOURS OF A CLEARED PAYMENT. I primarily utilize Fed Ex Home Delivery for items exceeding 5 lbs. in weight, measuring greater than 12 inches in any dimension, or traveling longer distances. I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to 100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account. In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item. Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required. I’m more than willing to combine multiple purchases into one box whenever it is safe to do so to decrease your shipping costs. PLEASE combine all of your purchases on one INVOICE. If you pay for these items separately, I get charged multiple transaction fees by PayPal plus you get over-charged on your shipping. Of course, I will refund you any amount over 1.00 that you've overpaid on shipping. However, it's easier on both of us if you wait until I can send you the correct amount. I’m more than happy to ship selected play sets to Canada. Remember that shipping to Canada can be quite expensive so please contact me for a shipping quote before you purchase an item. I will attempt to find the cheapest shipping rate possible. Also, Canadian customers will be responsible for any brokerage fees, Custom’s duties, or VAT’s imposed by your governments. I am not responsible for these charges. Insurance is required for all international shipments. Last, but not least, I offer a 10% discount for orders totaling 125.00 or more. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED. I have attempted to bring any noted "imperfections" to your attention prior to your purchasing the item. However, I'm only human. If I have missed something or you have a problem with your purchase, please contact me prior to leaving feedback. txzj pxzj2038 txzj71 txzj115

Piano Teacher's Pick

It's so sad that Fisher Price discontinued this crib piano. It's my favorite that I've found. I bought one for my niece and now my Godson. The ones I find in the stores now just don't measure up. Great buy if you can find one!
