If you collect and appreciate vintage items then this will be a fine addition to your collection. Bid now or Buy It Now. Enjoy it if you buy it. I am offering a 1951 program/scorecard from May 28,1951. This was the game where Willie Mays got his first major league hit, a home run off Warren Spahn. Willie had been 0-12 in his brief major league tenure before this homer. Spahn often joked about it afterwards. The program is in excellent condition and I have owned it for more than 20 years. I bought it from a walk in at a baseball card show as I had bought numerous programs when I was setting up at shows. I did not realize what this program was until recently. The pitchers listed and handwritten by the fan were Spahn vs. Jones and they only matched up one time during the season May 28, 1951. The Braves Luis Olmo (in the starting lineup) only was a Brave for a short time and only appeared vs. the Giants in this short series, which consisted of games on May 28 and May 30. The man who sold me this program had no inkling of the historic nature of the program and neither did I, until very recently. This is a classic piece of baseball history and one of the ultimate items for a Willie Mays collection. My receipt, with my contact information, is included with all items. Most of the items I sell are new to the hobby and are bought from the original owner of the item or the original owners family. All items I sell are original and authentic. I am always looking to buy autographs and memorabilia, single items or collections. All items come with a receipt from my company with all my contact information printed on it. I guarantee this item to be authentic or your total purchase price will be refunded. I combine shipping whenever possible. UPS insured shipping used on all orders over 100 or on large or sizeable bulky items, 1-5 business days shipping time. Items over 300 signature required. All items under 100 shipped by regular USPS First Class Mail (uninsured) or USPS Priority Mail (uninsured). Fed Ex services or UPS express shipping is available. I use a padded bubble mailer with additional protection. I do combine shipping. If you buy more than one item from me wait for my invoice with combined shipping. I usually ship within 1 day of receiving payment. Buyer agrees to pay within three days of end of sale. I send reminders if sale is unpaid after three days; non payment strikes if unpaid in six days.
