Customer Reviews Synopsis
Got both .36 & .44 caliber versions - molds are terrific! Cast my first batches and got quality castings on first try!
This mould will give you an extreme power edge over regular conicals and definitely better than round ball. You need to try it. You WILL like it.
The mold looks like a very high quality mold. Unfortunately, due to wet weather, I have not had an opportunity to use it yet. Another nice feature is that the mold comes with its own handles. I prefer to have a set of handles for each of my molds, in part to protect the molds. It was nice not having to make a separate purchase
this is an excellant product i had a chance to cast a small batch of theses up and try them at the range. They rang the tragets as well as my .44s do and they load like a dream. I recomend them to other shooters at the match.
I love that a mold is available for period correct bullets. Very nice unique product. Lee Molds are good and the aluminum heats up quick.
Excellent product, materials and workmanship are on par with Lee Precision bullet molds. Already cast fifty bullets, all came out beautiful.
Really great products that fill a major void for those wanting to obtain authentic cap and ball revolver shooting! Don't hesitate to purchase if you want the most authentic load for your favorite period piece.
Good purchase
Can't get this anywhere else!
Mold will outlive me.
Excellent quality!
Good bullet mould, perfect historical bullet!
Best conical I have used in my 51 Navy. Easy to cast with.
so far every thing is going well, easy to use.
Mold casts very nice well filled out bullets. The mold blocks have to be cleaned and lubed. I used Coleman stove fuel (white gas) for solvent and anti seize compound for a lube. I have great bullets on the 2nd cast. They load easily and are as accurate as round balls. A very good product.
The mould for the Colt .36 caliber conical bullets manufactured by Lee Precision performed flawlessly. Once the mould got up to casting temp, bullets poured and then easily dropped out...often without tapping on the mould.
My new mold cast precisely the lead projectile I needed and did so consistently through the 100 + bullets poured. It arrived in great shape, was ready to use, performed as advertised, and cleaned up nicely. The bullets I built with this mold shot relatively well from my Uberti Model 1847 Walker-Colt revolvers and performed extremely well from my Uberti Colt Model 1848 Dragoon revolvers, where 6 shots marked the paper target 2.5 inches above my point of aim, to center, and patterned a 1.5 inch horizontal spread from 10 yards. I love this bullet and will be doing SASS/CAS with it in my Dragoons in the future. Thank you, Mark! - mkh SASS 6476-Patron
A high quality mould that is authentic and correct. I'm so glad these and things like them are available for the serious enthusiast.
not the first lee mold I bought, good quality, works great. Russell London.
Product great but I did not purchase from Bonanza!
Custom Lee mold made to Lee Standards mean it will last and make excellent bullets.
Received the molds a few days after I ordered they worked great going to make some paper cartridges hopefully today ????????
The bullet mold is perfect and performs well. The unique design is well suited to Civil War era revolvers.
