This is a brightly colored plastic ladle shaped somewhat like a Loch Ness Monster. Made of relatively light weight plastic, the colors are deep and true to the provided image. It stands firmly on its four little feet. The bowl of the ladle holds a bit less than 1/3 cup (US measurements). I usually prefer a utensil with more heft, and while not uncomfortable in my hand, it feels a bit awkward. I think it is best suited for a super-soup/stew tasting spoon--easy to ladle, sit to cool, and taste. Would be great with kids in the kitchen.
