This is a reproduction of a silver tetradrachm of Syracuse designed by Kimon. Thef obverse shows the head of Arethusa three quarters face to left, hair flowing in loose tresses; artist signature on hair band across forehead; two dolphins on either side. Reverse shows galloping quadriga driven left by male charioteer, looking back; above Nike stting right on the heads of nearest two horses bearing wreath; behind horses fallen column.These pieces are reproductions.
