Item description

**REDUCED PRICE FROM 165.00** A very lovely and Very Rare Antique Illustration of a happy World War I (One) Military Solider finding getting to come home to his family. He is hugging his young daughter and his lovely wife. Is holding his military hat in his hand, as he still wearing his uniform. This illustration was printed on a thicker calendar paper stock. Has a white border surrounding the artwork, finished off with soft gray stripes and stars. RARE ILLUSTRATION THAT IS SIGNED BY THE ARTIST: C. D. WILLIAMS. At the bottom margin it is marked: Copyright 1919, PETERS Branch, I.S. Co. The Original Painting by C.D. Williams. The print is TITLED: THE HOME-COMING. C. D. Williams American Illustrator (1875 - 1954) Charles David Williams was a book and magazine illustrator contributing to Sunday Magazine, Collier's, American Magazine, books, and others. Lived/Active: Pennsylvania. Known for: illustrator, figure, portrait. VERY GOOD CONDITION. Minor soiling in upper left hand corner, and lower left corner. A minor crease in bottom left and right corner. Otherwise great for this 91 year old print. Measures with the side border: 8-1/2 inches wide by 11-5/8 inches high. Housed in its lovely walnut or maple frame that gradually tapers up from the edge, then drops down to the print. Gives it a more shadowbox depth to it. Frame measures 13 inches wide by 15 inches high, 1-1/4 inches deep. Wood frame has scratches on it, not too bad. **GUARANTEED TO BE AN OLD PRINT AND NOT A RECENT REPRODUCTION!!!** We gladly combine orders for added shipping savings. **WE GLADLY SELL WORLDWIDE JUST ASK FOR SHIPPING QUOTE!!** LAYAWAY OPTION IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. Shipping/Handling/Insurance in the U.S.A. will be 20.50. Thanks for visiting Antique Finds. **Reasonable Offers Entertained!!**
