Item description

We are pleased to offer for your consideration this Black and White Postcard view of the New Hampshire Historical Society building in Concord, NH, published by American Art Post Card Co. of Boston, MA. American Art Post Card Co. was in business from 1918 until 1925 and they published black white collotypes, and tinted halftone view-cards. They used the trade name Photolux on many cards. Most of their white border cards were contracted out to Curt Teich, however this card was published and printed by them. The New Hampshire Historical Society was founded in 1823. It was completed and opened in 1911 and is one of Concord's finest examples of Granite faced public buildings. The front of this card features a black and white view of the building with several 1940's era cars, parked on the street, in front. Near the top center is the caption, "New Hampshire Historical Society, Concord, New Hampshire", followed by the American Art ware number, "1848". The back of this card is a divided back postcard. the left margin bears the Publisher's info. This card is in near mint condition with clean crisp and sharp corners and only slight yellowing from age. This card has never been posted in the mail and has no writing on it at all. This card will be a great addition to your collection of Black and White views of Concord, NH, Views of New Hampshire's public buildings, buildings with Granite facades and American Art Post Card Co. products.
