Item description

This ingeniously designed metal container for Autopoint lead refills consists of a metal tube with openings at both ends capped with standard eraser tips. Its inventor, Charles R. Keenan of Chicago, Illinois received patent number 1,432,408 on October 17, 1922 on this novel product packaging. The package originally held 12 pieces of lead; there are six pieces remaining.
