Item description

Rainbow part# R-12587B ... fits 1-1/4" diameter wand This 3/4" wide metal spring band slides into the wand for a quick repair. - For locking one Rainbow e-Series stainless steel wand to another wand. - Fits Rainbow wands that were designed for push-button-locking. - The button/spring mechanism that you're replacing should look like the above photo. Additional info on this button lock C-Clip: This clip is a Rainbow vacuum item, but also fits some other (non-Rainbow) button-lock vacuum wands, including those used in some central vac systems. It can be inserted into any other 1.25" diameter wand pipe/tube, but the button hole must be round and at least 1/4 inch wide, for this button to function properly. INSTALLATION: Remove your old button-lock spring piece from inside the vacuum wand .. you may need needle-nose pliers if you had an older type of clip that was riveted into place inside the wand. (This new clip does not have to be riveted ... it will stay in place by itself, after installation) Compress this new spring clip slightly, just enough so you can insert it into the wand .. then, slide the clip into position, to where the button will pop up through the little hole. Youโ€™re done.
