The pages are lightly tanned but clean, there are no names or other markings. The cover is faded and has some edge wear. There are scribble marks on the spine and some dings on the back. Acceptable. Hardcover. Chapter 1: The liner lay like a hugh white duck against the wharf, the straggling sunlight glinting on its fat golden funnels, its spotless deck thronged with people chatting eagerly, excitedly, of the coming cruise. A great event in most of their lives, this winter trip to the West Indies. To some it was adventure, to others romance, to a few it was merely an escape.
