Item description

We are pleased to offer for your consideration this color view of Thompson Brothers Clam Bar in Harwich Port, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts which was published by Hannau-Robinson Productions of New York, NY in the mid-1960's. Thompson Brothers Clam bar was located on Wychmere Harbor at the end of Snow Inn Road in Harwich Port and offered the summer visitor the best lobster and seafood fare found on Cape Cod. While eating on the dock families enjoyed watching the fishing boats and yachts and waterside activities as they enjoyed a well cooked meal of various sea foods. Clams, of course, were the specialty of the house. The Clam Bar closed in 1996 and was turned into a farm market which was closed in 2006 and sold in 2008 to a developer. The property is now vacant. Hannau-Robinson productions began as Hannau Robinson Color Productions Inc. and they changed the name just prior to the publishing of this card. The front of this card features a color view of the restaurant, crowded with diners and a full staff of waitresses standing ready to attend to the needs of the patrons. Out the windows, which overlook the harbor, you see numerous boats and yachts, tied up along the pier, opposite the clam bar. The back of the card is a divided back postcard with the publisher's info as the division. the publisher's copyright appears at the bottom of the left side. At the bottom of the division is the ware number, "S-44294-2". the top left bears a brief description of the view on the front. This card is in Near Mint condition with clean crisp and sharp corners and no creases or fold marks. This card was never used in the mail and has no writing on it at all. This card will be the perfect addition to your collection of Cape Cod, Cape cod's restaurants, and commercial postcards from Cape Cod and Massachusetts.
