Item description

Here Are My Lectures and Stories Stephen Leacock 1937 HC/DJ Here Are My Lectures and Stories Stephen Leacock Dodd, Mead and Company, 1937 251 pages The binding has breaks but is in acceptable condition. The pages are lightly tanned and have scattered foxing and brown age spots. The end papers and jacket flaps are more heavily foxed and there is a name and date 1940 written in pencil. The orange cover is faded and shows light wear. The jacket is faded and tattered and has many old taped repairs on the inside. Acceptable in fair dust-jacket. Hardcover. "So here are my lectures. Here with them are a lot of odd stories that I used to drag into them as best I could; or, failing that, tell them to little gatherings of hospitable friends after the lecture, or tell them to the Pullman porter, man's last friend." Stephen Leacock has given pleasure to unnumbered audiences by his appearances as a humorist on the lecture platform. (#00001800)
