ISLAND ADVENTURE By Cleo M. Stephens AVALON ROMANCE Ex-Library Book. Copyright: 1967. No Edition stated. Published by Thomas Bouregy Company. Book Boards are in Fair condition with some light edge wear. Has library pocket several library stamps markings. 190 Pages. Pages are Intact Tight with couple of very light soiling spots. Dustjacket is in Poor condition with edge shelf wear, light water stain on the spine area.. From the Flyleaf....... An island off the coast of Mexico was their destination, and with the party were: Madge Carlson, an archeology major, who had persuaded her professor, with whom she was secretly in love, to finance the expedition. Nina Stephens, Madge's ex-roommate, an anthropology major; Jan Anderson, another ex-roommate, acting as typist-secretary; one small dog named Red, Dr. Martin's contribution to the party. Joining the girls later: Bob Carson, his assistant, who wastes no time in falling in love with the beautiful Nina. Dr. Martin had been to the island before and had built a small cabin on it. He didn't know exactly what possessed him to give Madge permission to go there with the two other girls, but now that he had come into possession of some scraps of an ancient priest's letter, he knew exactly what he was after---the lost treasure of Montezuma. A fast-moving and exciting story of lost treasure, and of an island that, long ago, knew in turn the cultures of the Olmecs, the Toltecs, and the Aztecs. Both love and the search for treasure triumph in this tale of "old digs" and new love. Multiple orders add .50 Per Book for combined shipping costs.
