Item description

Beautiful Coffee/Tea Service from JKW, Josef Kuba Wiesau Could also be a demitasse set based on the size of the cups Silver over porcelain Not really sure what the silver is. It isn't sterling or German silver becuase it's been sitting on a shelf for years and has not tarnished. Many who have looked at it have suggested it may be platinum. This is based on the fact that Josef Kuba is known for using platinum decoration. Pot is 5" tall without the lid, approx 7-1/2" tall with the lid Creamer is 3" tall Sugar is 4" tall with the lid These three pieces are pure white on the inside and are very clean. Silver/platinum on the outside. Cups are 2-1/2" diameter and 1-3/4" tall. Silver/platinum handle and exterior. White porcelain interior with a 1/8" band of silver/platinum about 1/4" down from the rim Saucers are 4-3/4" diameter. Silver/platinum over porcelain. Outer 1/2" is silver/platinum over a decorative edge. There is also a thin band of silver/platinum outlining where the cup should sit. The underside is white porcelain. There are 4 cups/saucers. Only one is shown in the picture, This set is in perfect condition. There are no chips, cracks or other marks of any kind. I question whether it was ever used. The marks are identical on all pieces, shown in pictures 3 and 4. The marks date this set to 1952-1972. If domestic shipping seems high, it's because it would ship in a larger box. Alternatively we could ship in two boxes which might reduce shipping to your location. Please contact me if interested. Outside the US, please contact me for a shipping quote. Porcelain and Glass
