Item description

For sale is a Janlynn brand Christmas Cross Stitch Kit called Now Dash Away All. The design of this kit is really charming. The package says the design is by Stoney Creek Collection. The kit is unopened, and sealed in the plastic bag. The package lists the finished size of the kit as being 12 x 16 inches. The kit contains 14-count cotton Aida fabric, 6-strand cotton floss, blending filament, beads, needles, graph, and instructions. There is some metallic and iridescent thread that can be seen through the package. The package of beads is quite small. The beads are probably used in the design as accenting. The beads are small clear beads with a light iridescent finish. The design is really classy and attractive on this cross stitch kit. It shows Santa in his sleigh, being drawn by reindeer, flying against a full moon, over the rooftops of houses. What really makes this kit unusual, I think, is that the fabric is a dark blue color. I normally see white fabric in these types of kits. The blue color is to signify the night sky, of course. The package is sealed, so I do not know if this is a kit where the design is stamped on the fabric, or if this is one of those kits where there is no design stamped on the fabric, and one needs to count to determine where the stitches go. But because the package says it contains a graph, I tend to think that there is not a design stamped on the fabric of this kit, and that this kit is what is called counted cross stitch, where there is no design on the fabric, and one needs to follow a schematic to determine where the stitches are placed. There is no copyright date on the outside of the package, so I am unsure as to the age of this kit.
