Item description

Lolita Vladimir Nabokov Published by G.P. Putnam's Sons in 1955. First American edition. Original black cloth-backed gray patterned boards, spine lettering in gilt, with red endpapers, and red top stain. First issue jacket without the "Complete Unexpurgated Edition" printed, which is found on the front panel of later issues, and the original price of 5.00. Book is near fine with a previous owner's book plate attached to front free endpaper. The dust jacket is very good. Dust jacket price reads 5.00, with miniscule chipping to top of jacket spine, one small perforation on top edge of rear jacket flap. Additionally the cover of 1962 Newsweek and two pages taken from the magazine about Nabokov and Lolita enclosed with this book. Interesting. Shipping price includes tracking, insurance and safe packaging against transit damage. No refunds or returns to sales outside the USA. Global Shipping Only. Thank you for looking.
