Dimensions: 9 x 12.5 inches, including blank margins (borders) around the image. Paper weight: 2 (1. Thick - 2. Heavier - 3. Medium heavy - 4. Slightly heavier - 5. Thin) Reverse side: Blank Notes: Green color around the print in the photo is a contrasting background on which the print was photographed. Engraved facsimile of the artist signature under the image. 1 inch = 2,54 cm. Narrative: Florent Willems was born at Liége in 1824, and commenced his art studies under his father, completing his education at the Academy in the picturesque city of Mechlin. He had an extraordinary genius for restoring the old masters, and was, in consequence, much valued by the picture-dealers. The British Ambassador at Brussels, Sir Hamilton Seymour, discovered the young painter, and, after obtaining for him the patronage of Leopold I, tried to induce his protégé to follow iiim to England.
