Lives of the Hunted book Containing A True Account Of The Doings Of Five Quadrupeds Three Birds, And In Elucidation Of The Same by Ernest Seton Thompson Charles Scribnerโ€™s Sons New York 1901 first edition and first printing, stated Hardbound 5 X 8 inches 360 pages Fancy olive green cloth binding with gold deckled edges on pages from quality paper. Illustrated with Over 200 Drawings as well as full page plates drawn by Seton. The book contains stories about animals based on true experiences with an emphasis on conservation., lives of the animals, woodcraft, nature. The book is a work of art, beautifully crafted. Ernest Thompson Seton (August 14, 1860 - October 23, 1946) was a Scots-Canadian (and naturalized U.S. citizen) who became a noted author, wildlife artist, founder of the Woodcraft Indians, and one of the founding pioneers of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Outside edges of the pages have darkened. A name in he front n pencil, light stains on the end papers. The binding is fine, a very nice clean copy of this classic. POSTAGE: US- media mail insured.
