Item description

Here for your delectation is the SPECTACULAR RARE------------------MIKLOS GAFNI /NEAPOLITAN FOLK SONGS LP. THIS INCREDIBLE ITEM IS NOT TO BE FOUND ANWHERE!!! FOURTEEN beautiful Italian songs by the amazing tenor who was called "The Hungarian Caruso"----accompanied by Renato Rossini on guitar. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Miklos Gafni, 59, Singer Survived World War II Concentration Camp Published: March 11, 1981 Miklos Gafni, a tenor who gave up a professional singing career 15 years ago to form Michel's Magnifique, a Bronx-based packaged gourmet food concern, died of a heart attack Sunday at Kennedy International Airport on arriving from a business trip to California. He was 59 years old and lived in White Sulphur Springs, N.Y., where he had recently moved from Manhattan. Mr. Gafni made his singing debut at Town Hall on Feb. 8, 1947, five weeks after his arrival from Hungary, where he had been in a concentration camp in World War II. His voice was described as ''phenomenal'' by a music critic, who said it ''compared favorably with the greatest of the day.'' Mr. Gafni's parents and four sisters died at Auschwitz. He is survived by his wife, the former Annekathi Bots; a son, Ariel, and a daughter, Gabriella. This is the Westminster WP 6012 HI-FI record from 1956. Both the cover and the record are in excellent condition. There are no obvious scratches under normal light (see photo). Check my feedback to see that I sell exactly as I describe. So bid now to own this magnificent, impossible-to-find RECORD COLLECTIBLE.
