From the Flyleaf....... The sudden disappearance of London art dealer, Mr. Walpurgis of Shepherds market, sets his young picture restorer to adding up two and two. When Mr. Walpurgis failed to return from a weekend holiday and days passed with a word from him, Thomas recalled some curious happenings of recent weeks. He began in earnest to investigate the movements of the mysterious and elusive man. Mr. Walpurgis finally reappeared, but the circumstances only made the whole matter more sinister and macabre, and Thomas soon found himself involved in a dangerous situation that carried him far beyond the call of duty. The splendid puzzle, the glimpse of the world of art dealers, and some interesting people make this one of the author's best. Multiple orders add .50 Per Book for combined shipping costs.
