Item description

No Decency Left Barbara Rich (Robert Graves and Laura Riding) Hardcover in dust jacket. Original publisher's orange cloth in the original dust jacket. London: Jonathan Cape, 1932. First edition. ———————— A rare published novel that contains a two-page description, contributed by T. E. Lawrence, of a machine here styled the "autogyro" - and his theory concerning the construction of a helicopter. Over all a very good copy with a bit of cloth splitting and the spine-cover junction and a bit of slight fraying a the spine ends. Small bookseller's label on the inside corner of rear fixed endpaper. The dust jacket has chipping at the edges, some small pieces of missing matter, a larger piece of missing matter at the bottom of the jacket spine. The jacket folds and top of the jacket spine and a few other small areas have been re-enforced on the verso with quality Japanese rice paper and removable insect and mold-proof rice starch adhesive. Overall a fair dust jacket, and quite rare in any form. The jacket is enclosed in a pH neutral Mylar jacket protector. First edition in jacket.
