Item description

The Ophelia's Garden - LoveEternal 2000 CD, Wipe Out Records. Ophelia's Garden were formed by two members of the band Servants Of Mephistophelis, Petros Tsalpatouras and Kyriakos Iliou in 1994. At the end of 1997 they released their debut album Blood Wedding by Physis records. The band is an interesting blend of Goth, Darkwave and Prog Rock. Their albums are rare and difficult to find in the U.S., probably because there is no distribution channel for them here. There is both a male and female vocalist in the band. Perhaps an acquired taste, but they DO sing in English. The album is divided into two parts- Part 1- Love, Part 2- Eternal. For some reason they remind me a bit of Ordo Equitum Solis, although a bit more pop-oriented. The band is actually at it's best when displaying its more progressive side like on "Forever and Ever". There are good number of moody, quieter acoustic moments too. Eclectic is the only way to describe this album; it is one of the few that I've ever heard that bridges the gap between goth and progressive. If you're looking for something really different, this could be the one! CD has a few slight surface marks (but plays PERFECTLY, guaranteed) and the tray card has a light crease down the center. Tracks: 1. Intro Of Love (Can Never Die) 2. (Tearing Down) Your Face 3. Behind The Mask Of Smile 4. Whatever Happens 5. The Blue... 6. Wanderers In Love... 7. Midnight Paradise Blue 8. Never Ending 9. Intro Of Eternal (Things I Wish Of You) 10. Forever And Ever 11. Man In The Circle 12. Soul Taking Ship 13. The Hunter 14. Game With Fate 15. Welcome Home
