Additional Information: All covers and ads have been removed. Although right after the detailed index in the front is one page of ads advertising Rubifoam Tooth Powder, Singer Mfg. Co. and Pacific Development Company, San Francisco, California. 580 pages. Summary: The Overland monthly was first published in July 1868 and the last issue was July 1935. The founder was a San Francisco bookseller and published named Anton Roman. Condition: Hard cover, Ex-Lib – usual marks/stamps; covers show some wear, soiling, bared corner tips and some rubbed spots; book plate inside front cover; issues have had two holes punched in them on the binding side most likely done before they were bound; all covers and ads have been removed; couple frontispieces are missing; slight pulling as spine seam is cracked in a couple places; one issue must have been wet before it was bound as there is light moisture stains, slight waviness and some pink bleeding (possibly from cover – but everything is readable, also this issue is slightly shorter in height than the other; there are a few small tears and some smudges with light age discoloring; overall a good readable copy with some interesting articles and illustrations.
