Item description

We are happy to offer for your consideration this lovely postcard, which was published by Reinthal Newman, Publishers of New York. This postcard was made in the Gibson girl style and distributed by the Charles Scribner's Sons of New York City. This is a classic example of an early divided back glamour postcard with most of the back devoted to the address. The front this postcard features a young couple in a topless antique car glancing at a road map, apparently lost. The woman is wearing a broad rimmed hat tied to her head with a blue scarf. She is also wearing a white plaid overcoat. The young man is wearing leather trenchcoat, leather gloves, a cap and goggles. At the bottom center is the caption, "lost?". The lower right corner bears the publishers information in the lower left corner bears the distributors information. The back of this postcard is in the early divided back style with most of the back devoted to the address. The publishers logo is at the top left corner, and the left margin bears at the lower left corner the ware number, 108. The center left margin reads entered stationers Hall, London. This card is in excellent condition with slight bumps in the lower corners, white water damage in the upper right corner, and some staining from old-age. This card will be a great addition to your collection of Gibson style early divided back postcards. It will also be a nice addition to your collection of early glamour postcards featuring cars.
