Item Description

Stars For a Summer Night - Various Artists Columbia PM-1 (2 Record set) I do not know what year this record was released. The cover is in basically good condition. There is some tape on the seams in spots. There is corner damage and some scuff marks. The records are in good condition. There are light surface marks and light scratches. They both play very good. I did hear some faint background noise during a couple of songs. Includes the original inner sleeves for both records. Also, there is an insert entitled Star for A Summer Night. It tells about albums that have been released. Songs and artists include: Summertime - Ray Conniff and his Orchestra Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair - The Dave Brubeck Quartet In the Evening by the Moonlight; Listen to the Mocking Bird; While Strolling Through the Park One Day - Frank DeVol and his Rainbow Strings Lazy Afternoon - Les Elgart and his Orchestra Bouquet - Percy Faith and his Orchestra By the Campfire - Andre Kostelanetz and his Orchestra Stairway to the Stars - Bobby Hackett Star Eyes - Art Van Damme Quintet It's a Wonderful World - Les Brown and his Orchestra Just Friends - Billy Butterfield Like Love - Andre Previn, his piano and orchestra Ramona - Jerry Murad's Harmonicats March from "The Love for Three Oranges" - Thomas Schippers conducting the Columbia Symphony Orchestra "Waltz of the Flowers" from "Nutcracker Suite" - New York Philharmonic, Leonard Bernstein, conductor Second Movement from "Symphonie Espagnole" - Francescatti, New York Philharmonic, Dimitri Mitropoulos Russian Sailors' Dance from "The Red Poppy" - The Philadelphia Orchestra, Eugene Ormandy, conductor Waltz No. 7 in C-Sharp Minor, Op. 64, No. 2 - Alexander Brailowsky, pianist "One Fine Day" from "Madame Butterfly" - Eileen Farrell, soprano, Max Rudolf conducting the Columbia Symphony Orchestra Can Can - Andre Kostelanetz, New York Philharmonic Fantasia on "Greensleeves" - The Strings of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Eugene Ormandy, conductor Clair de lune - Philippe Entremont Londonderry Air - Arr.
